The moon she smiles.
The moon she smiles.
The moon she smiles.
Cold and alone she shines.
Her curves boldly carved by craftsmen it seems, but naturally her family tree gifted her body art.
I see her.
We all do.
Her life already plotted, she travels through the night unnoticed.
She's great.
But will never know.
Because she keeps to herself she's forever alone.
A shadow of her thrown.
A queen to be. Her glow satisfies their lusts but never her own.
She shines.
Knees down, with a mouth full of lies, or whatever those men told their beloved wives.
She hates life, and those whos only shared seeds they left inside.
She the moon almost gone.
She's the character that dies off before the next page begins, two chapters to be exact.
Her heart bled out from daily strokes, she took each and every size in, whatever it took to keep her kids fed.
Her glow in every bed she'd say,
"Enough is enough, this night I make change."
The moon she glows.
Not at the dawn, or the thought of warm water washing away sins from her bones.
That's woven, in skin patterned with back pains,
Stained with their breath all over her, from the past week.
Shes the moon waiting for change.
An astronomical wait.
Funny when you consider there's no weight in space.
She's a memory erased and belittled but in that dark sky at night she holds our gaze.
A night nurse no less than the penny you through away last week because you coined it worth less.
She was, is a person deserving no less time than that time you spent all night studying for that test.
She's great.
But I'll never know.
She's the moon in the dark, and I wish her the best.
